Mosaic for Superintendents

Communicate your district’s wins. Build trust in your leadership.

Mosaic sits down with the people doing the work, surfaces the wins happening across your district, and turns them into a positive narrative your board, staff, and community can see.

See what Mosaic would surface in your own district. No prep required.

The problem

The good work is happening, but the story isn’t getting out.

Most of the best work in your district never reaches you, let alone your board or your community. The wins are isolated by grade level and building. Getting people to share them the old fashioned way is like pulling teeth.

Meanwhile, the narrative gets written by whoever is loudest, and it is rarely the people doing the work.

“There are 14 positive messages for every negative one. The trouble is, almost none of them get told.” district Communications director
The shift

What would you do if you could sit down and interview every person on your team for 10 minutes?

That is what Mosaic does. A short, structured conversation with each member of your team surfaces a complete story tied to one of your strategic pillars. You stay connected to the frontline successes that otherwise go unseen, without changing how you spend your time.

The branded Mosaic Showcase — a grid of story cards generated from staff interviews, each tagged with a strategic-plan pillar and credited to the educator who lived it.
How it works

The Mosaic Process

A short, deliberate engagement that lands on the same day with branded outputs you can deploy.

1

Diagnostic

We learn your district, your strategic plan, and your initiative, then design the story plan. You get a Diagnostic Assessment that shows we have absorbed your specific context.

2

The Workshop

Each participant has a personal 10-minute conversation that adapts to what they share. Staff tell their own story in their own words. The words are theirs, captured faithfully, not generated.

3

Your branded Showcase

Stories live on a Showcase that looks like your district, not a vendor’s interface. By the end of the day, participants can send the link to family and find their story already published.

4

Outputs you deploy

You leave with recognition and communications content ready to use, plus a story database your team can search in plain language all year.

Start with one team, one initiative, or your whole staff. You choose the cohort, and Mosaic runs the same way at any size.

The Mosaic process: an AI-guided interview becomes a story outline, then stories are hosted on the branded district Showcase.
Two jobs from one workshop

One workshop. Two jobs done.

CEC Strategy in Action Report — a five-page spread synthesizing themes from interviews. Crestwood School District Strategic Plan Progress — a four-page spread organized by workstream.
Strategic plan

Activate your strategic plan.

Move it off the shelf and into the work. Ground your pillars in real evidence from the people executing them — synthesized into a report you can put in front of your board.

Communications

Tell your district’s story.

Turn those same conversations into a steady stream of recognition and social content — ready to share the day the workshop ends.

Why this is different

Not a survey. Not another platform.

Grounded in a real method.

The interview approach comes from Applied Cognitive Task Analysis and Naturalistic Decision Making, established disciplines for drawing out expertise.

Built from real practice.

Mosaic is an outgrowth of LeadersAtlas’s consulting work helping experts in the corporate setting study and share success. Field-tested with district leaders in 2025 and brought to market in 2026.

A leadership instrument you run.

An internal tool for your leadership. Use to augment your communications, plan for the future, and direct the culture of your team. You decide what gets shared and where it goes.

We understand district politics.

We know what to ask and what not to ask, how to handle consent, the board, and the community. Mosaic is not evaluative and it is not a survey. It helps communicate and celebrate the work.

Built for the board conversation

We help you bring your board along.

Every Pilot includes assets that help you make the case to your team and your board. You'll get a one-pager, an optional co-presented demo, and a post-Pilot impact summary that shows the outputs, the participant reactions, and the strategic-plan connection.

WHAT YOU GET TO PROVE THE PILOT

  • One-pager you can attach to the agenda.
  • Optional co-presented demo with a Mosaic lead.
  • Post-Pilot impact summary tied to your strategic plan.
  • Participation language drafted for your community.

Questions Superintendents ask

The questions that come up before the call.

Is this a survey?

No. Mosaic is a guided storytelling conversation, not a survey and not an evaluation. It surfaces and celebrates what is working by helping your team articulate what happened around an experience they're proud of.

How much time does this take from my team?

Ten minutes per person for the conversation. The workshop fits a PD institute day, an early release day, or a school improvement team meeting. It does not add a standing obligation to your calendar.

How do we handle the board?

Every Pilot includes the Sell-the-Board toolkit. We can co-present to your board or education committee so you are not translating Mosaic on your own.

Is our team’s information private and safe?

Yes. Mosaic is an internal leadership instrument, not a public app. Participation is voluntary, your team opts in, and you control what gets shared and where it goes.

Will my staff see this as another top-down initiative?

No, because it is recognition, not a mandate. It takes ten minutes, participation is voluntary, and each person sees their own story published. Staff experience it as being heard by their leadership, not managed by it.
